Jeonju Hanok Village
(99 Girin-daero, Wansan-gu, Jeonju)
Nestled in downtown Jeonju, Jeonju Hanok Village, the largest of its kind in Korea, ensures a superb weekend getaway. Cultural assets—including Gyeonggijeon Hall, Omokdae Pavilion, and Jeonjuhyanggyo Confucian School, 700 Hanoks, and 20 cultural facilities are located in Jeonju Hanok Village.
Hagindang
(47 Hyanggyo-gil, Wansan-gu, Jeonju)
Hagindang is a historic residence, Korea’s first auditorium for Pansori—musical storytelling, a shooting location for Mr. Sunshine—a Korean drama, and a guesthouse. It was also used to accommodate VIPs, like Kim Gu.
Hangul Square
(Dongseohak-dong, Wansan-gu, Jeonju)
Sculptures with the motif of Hangul demonstrate excellence in Hangul.
Jeonju Hanok Railbike

Running alongside the downtown, which is the first in Korea, Jeonju Hanok Railbike offers excitement, relaxation, and splendid scenery.
Jeonju Crafts Exhibition Hall
(15 Taejo-ro, Wansan-gu, Jeonju)
The Jeonju Crafts Exhibition Hall is dedicated to helping visitors appreciate local craftworks as well as make mask straps, fans, and knot bags.
Jeonju Nanjang
(13 Eunhaeng-ro, Wansan-gu, Jeonju)
Jeonju Nanjang is composed of 70 theme zones and strives to provide the opportunity to travel back to the old days.
Gamaek
Originated in Jeonju in 1980, Gamaek is a shorthand for Gage (store) and Maekju (beer). At night, a corner shop turns into a tavern, selling drinks and nibbles.
Jeonju Bibimbap
Jeonju Bibimbap was one of Joseon’s top three dishes and is recognized as foreigners’ favorite Korean cuisine. Bibimbap in Jeonju is differentiated in that it comes with Hwangpo Muk (yellow mung bean jelly).
Kongnamul Gukbap
Jeonju bean sprout, the best of its kind in Korea, is boiled in a clay pot along with rice and seasonings.
Pisundae Gukbap
Pisundae is a kind of blood sausage having copious amounts of coagulated pig blood. Pisundae Gukbap contains Pisundae, pressed head meat, and intestines. Adding chives served together to the soup will make it taste better.
Sangchu Twigim
Sangchu Twigim can be found only in Jeolla-do, which is lettuce wrap filled with fries and pickled onions.
Mul Jjajang
Mul Jjajang with lots of seafood is thick and addictively spicy.
Moju
Moju is Jeonju’s local alcohol made by boiling cinnamon, ginger, jujube, ginseng, and kudzu for 24 hours.
