Ajung Lake was originally named Ajung Reservoir (Ingyo Reservoir). This place became a resting place for citizens as the supply of agricultural water decreased due to urbanization. So this place got a new name, Ajung Lake. There are two parking lots under the embankment and along Dongbu-daero road. You can park your car anywhere. This is because the parking lot and the promenade are close. It also returns to its original position no matter which direction it goes. The locals who live near Lake Ajung have a relaxing day. This is because Lake Ajung makes the dizzy daily mind calm.

The circular walkway surrounding the lake continues smoothly. How great would it be if our daily lives were not blocked like here? The deck roads of the promenade are all gently curved. Looking at the wide open lake on the trail, all the worries disappear one by one. Rocking chairs are placed throughout the walk. As if riding a swing, the foot of the mountain across the lake comes close and goes far away. The water birds floating on the lake are silent. But they stir their webs tens of thousands of times to stay afloat on the lake. It's no different from our busy daily lives. The glittering sunlight on the lake makes it blinding. You can enjoy the ever-changing Ajung Lake and beautiful scenery at any time. It is a walkway that returns to its place in an hour even if you walk slowly.

Lake Ajung is crowded with people who exercise in the morning or evening. Residents in light sportswear walk fast, but travelers walk slow. Local residents and travelers are distinguished according to what they are wearing and the speed of their steps. Time is free in the serene water deck square. There are four water deck squares on the trail. The view of the water deck square is also different. So it looks like the people who visited the lake.

Early in the morning, there is a mist in Lake Ajung. Lake Ajung stretches in the caress of the rising sun over the mountain. Cherry blossom roads built around the parking lot under the embankment are good, but parking lots along Dongbu-daero road are recommended. If you are with children, go to Hodonggol Children's Park at the entrance of the parking lot. Unlike local playgrounds, it is an eco-friendly playground with zipline, log caves, and stepping stones. Let's enjoy a seesaw with your child in the shade of cherry blossoms here. To ride a seesaw for a long time, you have to keep your balance without leaning to one side. If you want to enjoy the beauty of cherry blossoms, forsythia, and azaleas of Kirinbong Peak in April, visit Suwajeong Pavilion. Walking along the circular trail, you will reach Sujeong Pavilion. Climbing the low hill, you can see a mountain covered with flowers along Ajung Lake in Sujeong Pavilion. At sunset, the flower-colored Kirinbong Peak is reflected in the lake. People, nature, and everyone is like a flower, reminding me of someone you miss. On the bench of Sujeong Pavilion and look at flowers, you cannot help but say hello to the person you miss. When you see something beautiful or eat something delicious, the first person you think of is the person you want to see the most at that moment. On a spring day when cherry blossoms bloom, let's answer the phone call from an acquaintance from Ajung Lake without hesitation. Because there is a voice missing me from the Lake Ajung.

Jeonju Arboretum seems to be walking in nature from the entrance. People's cheerful footsteps and excited voices are full of excitement. This is the anticipation of the spring of the arboretum. Although spring is not yet come, Jeonju Arboretum is preparing step by step to announce the start of spring. Spring is a dream season, and every branch prepares for new shoots to bloom. Rather, now that you are waiting for spring, it is more suitable to contemplate than spring when you are busy looking at flowers here and there. Since the temperature of winter still remains, the flowers you encounter while walking through the arboretum are more welcoming and precious.

Jeonju Arboretum of Korea Expressway Corporation is the only road arboretum in the country created in the 1970s to restore nature damaged during road construction. The education promotion center is equipped with Jeonju Arboretum in My Hand where you can listen to explanations. The characteristic of Jeonju Arboretum is that the story of trees is provided as a storytelling. The most noticeable place in the arboretum is the garden of roses. Window doors and tile sculptures with rose vines remind of Hanok Village. Spring vibes come out through the round door of roses topped with tiles. In May, red and white roses will create an antique landscape against the backdrop of the tiled roof. How wonderful are the roses that bloom in harmony with the moonlight roof tiles? The roof tiles bent in a nice curve keep warm under the sunshine. When flowers bloom in the rose tunnel, lovers and their families will hold hands and take pictures to remember the day. Deokjin Park is a place that show the style of Jeonju. The signboard at the entrance of the park with a roof made of tiles are written "Yeonjimun." Perhaps it means "the land of lotus flowers." There is Sibi Square close to Yeonjimun Gate. Statues and monuments of poets representing Jeonbuk are gathered. The statue of the man sitting cross-legged in front of Yeonjimun is Shin Seok-jeong, who wrote a poem that begins with "I can smell green May white jingle flowers from your eyes." The jjile flower vine surrounds the monument of Shin Seok-jeong, a noble poet who refused to change the name during the Japanese occupation.

There is a pond at the center of the park. In front of the pond, there is a large vacant lot covered with white and fine sand. Under the shade of the pond, elderly people are sitting. They often play go or watch children following a flock of pigeons. The ruler of the vacant lot in front of the pond is a flock of pigeons. The pigeons, who are not afraid of people, walk with their heads clenched and suddenly flutters.

From Yeonhwagyo Bridge, you can see an antique pavilion sitting with a pond. The pavilion's name is Chwihyangjeong, meaning that it is soaked in the scent of lotus flowers. If it was a time when lotus flowers were in full bloom, the scent of lotus flowers may have been vibrating at every step. Angled rafter is lifted to the sky, aligns neatly with the branches that have been long together. When you get to the Chwihyangjeong Pavilion that once Jeonju's influential people enjoyed the style, you can see yellow and red carp swimming between water plants with a long beard. Yeonhwagyo Bridge, once called the Suspension Bridge, was a bridge connecting artificial islands in the middle of the pond. Recently it was renovated with a quiet sensibility. If you lean against the nicely changed Yeonhwagyo Bridge railing and look into the pond, all your miscellaneous thoughts disappear. The reflection of Yeonhwagyo Bridge in the water and the clouds above the sky make the atmosphere of time that has past. If you walk along Yeonhwagyo Bridge, where curves and straight lines are beautifully harmonized, you can also meet Yeonhwajeong Pavilion, which was newly built as a hanok.

While walking through Yeonhwajeong Pavilion, I can draw the past of Deokjin Park and imagine a new future at the same time. In the season when lotus flowers bloom, you will be amazed at the harmony of reborn Yeonhwagyo Bridge and Yeonhwajeong Pavilion with lotus flowers in full bloom. I can imagine someone who remember Yeonhwagyo bridge in the past and brings up a story, saying, "In the past it was like……."

If Yeonhwagyo Bridge in the daytime retains its cozy beauty under the bright sunlight, Yeonhwagyo Bridge in the evening shows a subtle beauty under emotional lighting. Light yellow lights illuminate the path of travelers to and from the bridge. Since the yellow light seen above the swaying water looks like the moonlight, It's like walking on a moonlit road. Yeonhwagyo Bridge at night full of light is more beautiful because it is colored warmer than the day.

On the opposite side of the main gate of Deokjin Park, there are "Yaho Mamkkeot Ecological Forest" and "Mamkkeot Ecological House." Since it is adjacent to the park trail, children’s laughter makes passers-by smile. This is a playground only for children created by Jeonju City in cooperation with UNICEF Korea Committee. 'Mamkkeot' is the name used in UNICEF's child-friendly space, meaning ‘as much as you want’. In the shade of the ecological forest, a net hammock spreads widely. I think I can jump high in the sky if I stamp my feet on the hammock. In the playground, children play energetically without getting tired.

What stands out the most in the Mamkkeot forest is the house of trees. Using Himalayan cedar as a pillar stretched straight to the sky, a small house was built between the branches. The stairs to the tree's house have a sign called "Tree House in Need of Courage." It seems that it will take a tremendous sense of adventure to cross the net bridge that connects the house and the house.
If you climb a small hill from the Mamkkeot forest to the Mamkkeot ecological house. You will find a small playground where you can build slides, wooden blocks, and play sand. When you ride the tube slide to your heart's content, sweat forms on the children's forehead.

Succulent plant pots by the window on the first floor of the Mamkkeot ecological house are lined up cutely. Parents can take a break while watching their children play. It is a happy playground that heals both children and adults.

Cheotmajung-gil is the first way for visitors who arrive at Jeonju Station. It was named in the sense of welcoming guests. Poet Chung Hyun-jong said in a poem called Visitor, "Visiting is actually a huge thing." When a traveler finds Jeonju that we didn't know, the city becomes as colorful. The first pick-up road treats the first visitor preciously and warmly sees off the person who leaves. As you walk through Cheotmajung-gil, you notice a red container. It is the first "Traveler's Library" consisting of a tourist lounge and an art book gallery. When you climb the spiral staircase, you will find the observatory on the second floor. As much as the intense appearance of the traveler's library, the display inside also attracts attention. There are various books including pop-up books, picture books, and animation books. The identity of Jeonju, which was the center of publishing culture during the Joseon Dynasty, is revealed.

The traveler's library is a space full of imagination like a pop-up book. Famous cities unfold in the bookshelves of travel destinations around the world. It's another platform to go to another world.

Sitting by a glass window, a traveler busily watches the passerby. The chair in front of the large barrel is comfortable and the cushion is soft. Travelers open their hearts and become friends here without hesitatingly. It's a library where something interesting seems to happen.

Cheotmaung-gil met, split and met again. The round-trip 10-lane road was reduced to six lanes and zigzagged.
