You can see Italy right now in Jeonju, the city of culture. ‘Italian Culture Week’ is held for 7 days
from September 23 (Fri) to 29 (Thu), where you can enjoy the essence of Italian culture, which has blossomed in a splendid
culture amid its long history. The theme of ‘Italy Meeting in Jeonju’ was held in Jeonju’s representative tourist destinations,
Hanok Village, and around Sebyeong Park, a new tourist destination. You can enjoy a variety of things from
Italian food that is not easily accessible or kept as a romance, to performances and movies.

The 7-day journey begins with the opening ceremony

Since 2016, Jeonju has been hosting an event where you can see the cultures of various countries vividly through ‘Jeonju World Culture Week’ every year, and the protagonist of 2022 is Italy, the center of Europe’s history and culture. Since it is the representative public diplomacy event in Jeonju, held for the first time in three years in the aftermath of the COVID-19 outbreak, it has attracted many people's attention from the start. This 'Italian Culture Week' kicked off with an opening reception held at Jeonju Hyanggyo on the first day.

The mayor of Jeonju, Woo Beom-ki and the Italian Ambassador to Korea, Peredico Fila attended the event, and Alberto Mondi, a famous Italian broadcaster, hosted the event.
