▷ The Moment the City Becomes a Movie: A Truly 'Jeonju-style' Festival
A Deeply Immersive Experience in the Heart of Jeonju
The 27th JEONJU International Film Festival focuses on the core values of the festival by increasing the density of its content. Utilizing the unique spatiality and atmosphere of Jeonju, we aim to strengthen the shared festival experience created together by audiences and participants.
Vibrant Festival Atmosphere at Film Street
Centered around Film Street, various audience-participation events and promotional booths will create a unique festival atmosphere exclusive to the event period. Furthermore, through programs that utilize various cultural spaces throughout the city, visitors can naturally explore Jeonju alongside the film festival.
Expanding the Cultural Spectrum through Global Collaborations
By collaborating with global animation IPs, we have prepared festival-style content for all generations to enjoy. This effort aims to expand our audience beyond the traditional cinephile community to include families and general tourists, providing more opportunities for diverse groups to experience and participate in the festival.
A Convergence of Film, Design, and Art
The festival’s flagship exhibition, '100 Films 100 Posters', offers a cultural experience encompassing film, design, and fine arts. This year’s exhibition focuses on "Theater Culture," featuring special displays and talks on the role of design in creating a cinematic experience.
Unique Viewing Environments Exclusive to Jeonju
Jeonju’s distinctive screening program, 'Alleyway Cinema', will be operated in characteristic spaces such as the alleys of Film Street and the Jeonju Hanok Village. Additionally, our first-ever 'Urban Camping Screening', in collaboration with a major sports apparel brand, will offer a fresh and unconventional cinematic experience in the heart of the city.
