The origin of Gimbap, a story of care
Long, long ago, there was a man named 'Kim Seobang' who was very devoted to his family. Whenever he went to the market, he'd pack a lunch, but it was inconvenient because the rice would get cold and the side dishes would spill. So, he thought of spreading rice on gim, placing ingredients on top, and rolling it into a single roll. It was easy to eat and share, so it quickly spread among the neighbors, and people started calling it 'Kim Seobang's rice', or Gimbap. This story might have started from someone's warm imagination. But one thing is certain : Gimbap is a Korean dish filled with sharing and 'Jeong'!
