Tickets to Jeonju can sell out quickly during weekends (Friday to Sunday), South Korean national holidays, public holidays, long weekends, and peak seasons such as May, September, and October when festivals are concentrated. If you plan to visit Jeonju during these periods, it is recommended to secure round-trip tickets in advance as soon as your schedule is confirmed. For short-term tourists who find advance booking difficult, the safest method is to purchase the return ticket (bound for Seoul/Airport) together at the on-site ticket counter or kiosk as soon as they arrive at the terminal.

Beware of Similar South Korean Region Names

These are cities that foreign travelers confuse most often when typing into ticket counters or kiosks because their alphabetical spelling and pronunciation are similar to Jeonju. Be sure to check the spelling on the screen before ticketing.

Smart Seat Assignment

You can assign your own seat when booking via on-site kiosks or apps. It is recommended that travelers who suffer from severe car sickness choose front seats where shaking is less, and those who want to rest undisturbed during a long-distance journey choose window seats.

Moving Between Incheon Airport Terminals and Night Buses

• If your current location differs from the departure terminal (T1 or T2) of the bus you reserved, use the free shuttle bus operated by the airport. It runs between the two terminals at 5-to-10-minute intervals, so you should move with plenty of time to spare.
• Even if you arrive at Incheon Airport late at night or early in the morning, there is no need to worry as late-night limousine buses bound for Jeonju operate. Late-night premium buses are slightly more expensive than daytime fares, but they are a very useful means of transportation for travelers arriving late at the airport.

Utilizing Expressway Rest Areas

• Although the bus bound for Jeonju departing from Incheon Airport or Seoul is a direct route that does not pass through other cities, it strictly stops once at an expressway rest area for about 15 minutes due to the nature of long-distance operations.
• Make sure to check the departure time announced by the driver or displayed on the front windshield of the bus before using the restroom. Experiencing unique snacks that are the delicacies of rest areas, such as roasted chestnuts, walnut pastries (Hodu-gwaja), and Sotteok-sotteok (skewered rice cake and sausage), also makes a great memory. However, since the bus departs punctually at the scheduled time, you must take a photo of the license plate of your bus before boarding and be seated 3 minutes before departure.

Checking Destination Names and Accurate Locations

• 'Jeonju Station' where trains arrive, 'Jeonju Limousine Terminal' where airport buses arrive, 'Jeonju Express Bus Terminal,' and 'Jeonju Intercity Bus Terminal' are all located in completely different positions.
• When planning your route to your final destination, such as Jeonju Hanok Village after arrival, be sure to check the exact name and address of your arrival point.

• ※ Before arriving at the final terminal, you can get off midway at major intermediate drop-off stations in downtown Jeonju, including 'Honamjeilmun Gate,' the gateway to Jeonju. If you check the announcements according to your accommodation location or destination and get off early, you can significantly reduce travel time and expenses.
• ※ The Express Bus Terminal and the Intercity Bus Terminal are located side-by-side within a 3-minute walking distance of each other. Even if you confuse the terminal names when using a return bus, you can easily move between them on foot.
