2024 JEONJU INT'L SORI FESTIVAL
The JEONJU INT'L SORI FESTIVAL, the representative festival of autumn, returned as a summer festival this year. Under the theme of Local Prism: Enlarging Perspectives, the JEONJU INT'L SORI FESTIVAL will entertain people's eyes and ears with a variety of programs along with music from various genres around the world, focusing on pansori and traditional music.
SORI FESTIVAL where traditional music and world music become one
The two genres that the JEONJU INT'L SORI FESTIVAL considers the most fundamental are traditional music and world music. Based on our own traditional music, it can be said that it is the biggest event to meet all the world's music in one place and communicate through music. From pansori and pungmul-gut to grand operas and foreign folk music, there are plenty of stages that are completely united by sound regardless of genre and subject matter.
