Even as the evening weather grows cooler, the area in front of Gyeonggijeon is bustling with people. People gathered to experience a special night walk in the game where entry is restricted after 6 p.m. Those waiting for the unique history experience carefully folded their Korean paper with a look full of expectations. As the lanterns gather to illuminate the path, the serene front of Gyeonggijeon is slowly bathed in a warm light.

Amidst the excitement and while capturing the perfect pictures, a robust gatekeeper appears to guide the people. If you gather in groups and take pictures with lanterns without boredom, you will see a master who will guide people at the door of the Gyeonggijeon. The Master, who has a nice white beard, gives a brief explanation to those who have waited and speaks aloud to the door of the tightly closed Gyeonggijeon. "Open the door~" The heavy door slowly opens due to the loud command, and from now on, the time trip to Joseon begins.

Time travel
to Joseon

The King's Strolling Course takes visitors through the main gate of Gyeonggijeon, leading to Hongsalmoon, Gyeonggijeon Jeongjeon, Jeonju Sago, King Yejong's Royal Villa and Memorial, Jongyeongmyo, Buhsokchae (Council of State) - Royal Cuisine Building, Buhsokchae (Royal Conservatory) - Royal Archives Building, and finally back to Gyeonggijeon's main gate. By following the master's guidance, visitors encounter characters from Joseon history at each location. These characters come to life to greet the visitors and reenact the history and stories related to the area, making it feel as if you have time-traveled to the Joseon era.

Gyeonggijeon holds various historical facts and untold stories not found in textbooks, and with the people from that era explaining, the 90-minute tour feels like a fleeting moment. The Strolling with the Kings program, which lost track of time, became a good experience for everyone, young and old, to get to know the history of Joseon easily and interestingly. Now, Gyeonggijeon is waiting for you with the breath of Joseon history, so if you want to experience an exotic history, let's go on a walk with the king, which runs until October. A great twist with the king is a secret between the people who were with him!
