Gyeonggijeon Friday Night Permanent Program, Starlight Stroll
In Gyeonggijeon, Jeonju Hanok Village, a special night stroll unfolds every Friday. This is because the Starlight Stroll, a walk with the stars through the tranquil interiors of Gyeonggijeon bathed in moonlight, has begun. Although Gyeonggijeon is not available for viewing after 6 PM, entry and viewing are available until October for those who have reserved tickets for every Friday evening at 8:30 PM and 9:30 PM. Let's embark on a night stroll in Gyeonggijeon with the stars now.
Every Friday,
Gyeonggijeon Night View
Presented to Only 100 People
As the heat of the day subsides and a cool breeze begins to blow in the evening, people start to crowd in front of Gyeonggijeon. These are spectators who have come to enjoy the Gyeonggijeon Starlight Stroll program. Every Friday, the night view of Gyeonggijeon is presented to only 100 people. The faces of those lining up at the door brim with anticipation. People are seen everywhere, happily planning to take certified shots with their brightly lit Starlight Stroll necklaces.
As the time comes, the firmly closed doors of Gyeonggijeon open, and the Gyeonggijeon night stroll, Starlight Stroll, finally begins. The viewing course is divided into six major spots: Jeongjeon, bamboo forest, pine forest, west stone wall path, shadow photo spot, and an annex building, toured in that order. The soft lighting, like starlight, brightens the dark path underfoot, so there's no worry about losing your way in the darkness.
Strolling Under the Starlight
at Gyeonggijeon
Upon entering Gyeonggijeon, as you follow the path, the bright lights of Jeongjeon illuminate the distance. The light shot behind Taejo's portrait and the surrounding lights blend together, naturally evoking admiration for the austere atmosphere they create. The paths through the bamboo and pine forests have become mysterious photo spots, with the spaces between the trees lit with multicolored lights. With every step, diverse lights harmonizing with the landscape illuminate the path ahead, making it feel as if you are walking with the starlight.
Behind the dazzling light, there always lies a shadow. If you have enjoyed a feast of diverse lights along the way, at the shadow photo spot you can take various emotional pictures with the serene stone wall as a backdrop. After viewing both light and darkness, you can conclude your night stroll at Gyeonggijeon with a performance in the annex building. The beautiful melodies that ring in your ears leave a significant impression as the starlit night at Gyeonggijeon slowly fades away.
