After a gentle descent from Haengchibong Peak, the wide-open Ajung Lake welcomes visitors,
brimming with the radiant light of spring. Walking along the wooden deck trail built over the calm water,
this section serves as a perfect resting point to catch your breath and immerse yourself in the lyrical scenery during the trek.
The silvery ripples sparkling on the lake with every spring breeze are dazzlingly beautiful,
and the trees lining the waterfront shyly show off their new shoots, adding to the refreshing atmosphere.
As you reach the end of the open waterside trail, the path naturally transitions into a proper forest trail.
Here, the ascent begins again toward Girinbong Peak to take in the panoramic view of Jeonju.

As you catch your breath and finally reach the summit of Girinbong Peak at 271 meters above sea level,

A Path of Contemplation Facing Spring, Chimyeongjasan Holy Ground

The ridge leading from the summit of Girinbong Peak, past Donggosanseong Fortress and the Hubaekje Gyeon Hwon Palace Site,
to Chimyeongjasan Holy Ground is made of a soft, pleasant dirt path. This section is a special path of contemplation
where the green vitality of the newly blooming forest meets the noble history held by the holy ground.
Walking among the dense trees turning light green, you can hear the chirping of unknown mountain birds,
and the noise of the city completely fades away. There is no more perfect place
to reflect on yourself and deepen your trek in the clear spring atmosphere.
As you follow the peaceful forest path of the holy ground down, you will soon reach the banks of Jeonjucheon Stream,
naturally shifting your journey toward the final destination.

An Observatory for a Panoramic View of Jeonju, Cheongyeongdae

Descending from Chimyeongjasan Holy Ground and crossing the clear Jeonjucheon Stream,
the final ascent begins toward Cheongyeongdae, the ultimate destination of the trek located on Namgosan Mountain.
After passing a steep mountain path and climbing up to Cheongyeongdae along the fortress wall, an overwhelming,
spectacular view of Jeonjucheon Stream gracefully winding through the city unfolds before your eyes.
Below, the tile roofs of the Hanok Village, bathed in spring light, stretch out like waves.
The ridges of Haengchibong and Girinbong Peaks, which you have just traversed, can be seen at a glance,
maximizing the sense of accomplishment from the long journey.
Cheongyeongdae, the final stop of this trek that weaves together Jeonju's nature and cityscape on foot,
is the best observatory to remember the magnificent spring of Jeonju.
