Girinbong Peak, a symbol of auspiciousness and a cool view attraction in Jeonju
San 318, Ua-dong 1-ga, Deokjin-gu, Jeonju-si
Girinbong Peak is the second of the four gods, Woo Baek-ho (Girin), and is a place where people perform ancestral rites to the gods. Girin Towol, one of the 10 scenic views in Jeonju that refers to 10 beautiful scenery near Jeonju, is a beautiful moon rising above the east of Girinbong Peak and is considered the first scenic spot in Jeonju. Girinbong Peak is the highest mountain in Jeonju, and the foot of the mountain spreads north and south. It is also called 'Girin Towol' because it has the scenery that the giraffe, an auspicious animal, vomits the pearl, or moon.

Girinbong Peak has the advantage of being able to go up various paths, making it a favorite mountain for locals and the perfect place to leave the busyness of the city behind and take leisurely steps along the tranquil forest path. As you climb Girinbong Peak, you can feel the vitality of the forest along with the fresh air. The breath of Jeonju that meets at the Hanbyeokdang
2, Girin-daero, Wansan-gu, Jeonju
Hanbyeokdang welcomes us as we descend from the top of Girinbong Peak with a wonderful view. Hanbyeokdang is a villa built by Woldang Choi Dam, a contributor to the founding of the Joseon Dynasty, who carved the cliff at the foot of Seungamsan Mountain. Clear water flows throughout the four seasons under the pavilion, and it is said that the water hits the rock, spreads like white jade, and is cold, so it was named Hanbyeokdang.
Hanbyeokdang is considered one of the eight scenic views of Jeonju due to its good combination of the antique pavilion and the surrounding scenery. Standing on the cliff, I naturally feel how important my ancestors valued wind flow. When you take off your shoes and enter Hanbyeokdang, you will see a wonderful view of green trees in front of you.

Hanbyeok cave with remnants of Japanese imperialism
2, Girin-daero, Wansan-gu, Jeonju
The Hanbyeokgul Cave has a sad history of damaging the spirit of Hanbyeokdang, one of the eight scenic views of Jeonju, and creating a railroad track by building the Jeolla Line tunnel during the Japanese colonial period. It is said that Jeolla Line trains passed through the tunnel for 50 years before the railroad was moved to the outskirts of Jeonju in 1981.
Hanbyeokgul Cave is a place frequented by Jeonju citizens along with Hanbyeokdang, and there are currently no tunnels and railroad tracks, and it is used as a road leading to the Hanok Village circular trail or Jeonju Natural Ecology Hall. Recently, it has become famous as a filming location for dramas, so many travelers line up to take pictures. If you go inside the Hanbyeokgul Cave, you can have a special experience where you can enjoy the wonderful view of nature in the cool air and deep and calm atmosphere.

The whole village is a beautiful art gallery, Jaman Mural Village
Jamandong 1~3-gil, Wansan-gu, Jeonju
Jaman Village, which means "Self-made prosperity for all generations," is well maintained as a beautiful mural village with the efforts of residents, Jeonju citizens, and Jeonju City. Jaman Mural Village is a place where art and life are harmonized, and each mural has a special story and emotion to welcome travelers to Jeonju.
From the way into the village, colorful murals welcome travelers. Gyeonwoo and Jiknyeo, who miss each other on the moon in the night sky, Finn and Jake who are going on an adventure in the Jaman Mural Village, a grandmother smiling with a red basin on her head, and a girl who encourages, "Everything will be okay," make you forget the difficulty of the uphill path. It is a pleasant space where you can go around the village without missing the alley murals.

A happy sip to conclude the journey, sweet healing at Kkojitabong
1-8, Jamandong 1-gil, Wansan-gu, Jeonju
During the journey that we met at the end of a trek around Kirinbong Peak, I desperately want to think of a cool drink while looking at hiking trails, alleys, and murals. There is a place in the Jaman Mural Village that catches the eye with its vivid color, and it is "Kojitapong," a coffee shop in hilly village.
As soon as you enter the door of "Kojitabong", the scent of warm coffee surrounds you, and the cozy atmosphere gives you comfort like home. Along with coffee, there is also a variety of beverage menus, which soothes the thirst and fatigue felt during the trip with sweet healing. Along with the fun of looking around the inside of the cute and fairytale-like cafe, "ET," sitting like a customer at the cafe, is one of the popular photo zones.
