Jeonju Daesaseupnori, a traditional Korean music festival held in Jeonju, the ‘home of traditional culture’ that has preserved our unique sounds, began in 1784, the 8th year of King Jeongjo’s reign in the Joseon Dynasty, and has continued the tradition of our sounds for over 200 years. Daesaseupnori, a Korean traditional music festival celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, is training professional singers by holding a national competition and a national student competition every year only in Jeonju. This year, a variety of celebratory performances to enjoy the beauty of traditional culture will be held throughout Daesaseup, further enriching Jeonju, the city of style and taste.
